ONE – Breathe: Take five deep inhales and exhales. This will help calm your body and settle your mind chatter.
TWO – Set Limits: Figure out your time wasters and then set a time limit on how often or how much you do them today.
THREE- Get a Mantra: What do you want? Put that into six words and repeat it throughout the day when you feel your mind getting off track.
FOUR – Take Five: Create five minute pauses that are free of sound, voice, and visual distractions. That may mean you have to escape to a closet or empty office for a few minutes to be quiet, but when you exit, you’ll be amazed at how much calmer and centered you feel.
FIVE: Let It Go: If something is bothering you, choose to let it go for now. It doesn’t mean you can’t revisit it another time, however, choose to consciously let it go for at least two hours.
