There are 2 things I know about the power of beliefs…

Some work to help us be the best version of who we are.
Some don’t.

If you’re struggling with getting the year going, as you planned and envisioned, take a couple of minutes and do this quick Belief Assessment:

❓What belief/s work for you and help your move forward in your life?
❓Which belief/s no longer work for you?
❓Which belief/s do you struggle with that you’re still using?

The beliefs we struggle with are out of alignment with our values - that’s why when we let them guide our decision, choices, and actions, they feel difficult to reach and implement. And often when we are adopting a new belief that is empowering and uplifting, it likely feels out of sync with and old limiting belief we are still using.

Nothing like the new year to clean up those outdated beliefs so that you can move into this year with a fresh new way to… look 👀 at your life and… make some micro adjustments … so that you can get on your right path … and live life as you envision it for yourself.

Try this - strengthen the beliefs that…

🔸propel you forward
🔸align with your best interest
🔸do not infringe on other people’s rights or wellbeing
🔸balance your ambition with compassion, and support actionable followthrough

Remember, the universe🪐wants all of us to be our best version of who we are, one step at a time.
Knowing what you believe in will help you see what you stand for, so that you CAN be that next best version of your beautiful self💖

Whether you're a business professional, artist, or stay-at-home parent, it's natural to feel like you just don't fit in. We often find ourselves playing a role to fit the expectations of others and can lose sight of our true selves.

Showing up more authentically in life is essential for feeling fulfilled and happy – but it isn't always easy!

Here are three tips for showing up more authentically in your life.

1️⃣ Let go of perfectionism: Perfectionism is often an obstacle to authenticity and can keep us from showing our true selves. Instead of striving for perfection, try to embrace the imperfections that make you unique and special. When we accept ourselves as we are, we free ourselves from the need to live up to someone else's standards.

2️⃣ Practice self-awareness: The only way to know what you truly want out of life is by taking time away from all the outside pressures and opinions and examining your innermost thoughts and feelings. Taking the time to reflect on what matters most to you will help you move towards living an authentic life.

3️⃣ Embrace vulnerability: Vulnerability can be scary but it is also essential to creating meaningful relationships with others that are based on trust and understanding. Being vulnerable enough to show your true emotions will help build deeper connections with those around you and allow others to see who you really are behind all the masks we wear.

Where did the year go??

Life gets busy, and there are 2 big time bandits that steal our time and dimmish the quality of our days, months, and years.

DISTRACTIONS and SLEEPWALKING
Here is a mindful solution for each so that you can notice when either of these time bandits show up...

🙄 DISTRACTIONS - these are 3 big time stealers
🔸 Scrolling: notice when you start scrolling. Globally we spend 7 hrs day doing this.
🔸 Task Switching: when you are changing from one task to the next without completing either.
🔸 Boredom: What you do when you’re bored… Do you pick up a drink? Go shopping? Start snacking? Or even, start an argument...

Solutions - Be aware when you’re surfing, working, or what you’re doing WHILE you’re Zooming. Try to notice what you do that is taking your time away from what you really need to replenish yourself, not just distract yourself. Focus one thing at a time. And ask yourself ‘What do you really need?’

😴SLEEPWALKING
It’s hard to notice when we are living unconsciously - We don’t remember the details of our day. That’s one of the big factors in mindless eating and weight gain, forgetfulness, and relationship misunderstandings. We’re just not present, or aware of what is actually happening in the moment.

And, on the flip side, we’re more likely to miss the good stuff when it shows up if we are operating on autopilot with an attitude or “It’s just what I do” or “It’s just who I am”

Solution - You’ve got to wake up your brain
Try This...
🔸Drive to work on a different route
🔸 Sit in a different place in your meetings or at the dinner table
🔸Change up your morning routine

Any one of these will help your brain light up - so that you are more conscious. You’ll turn on your senses - and that will help you notice when the GOOD STUFF shows up💫🎉🌹

Give yourself a little bit more time to think about who you are
Don’t distract yourself or give away your valuable time and memories
And don’t sleepwalk through this one big beautiful life that you are living right now

You can choose PROGRESS over PERFECTION as a NEW way to see yourself

Time after time I hear from so many women that PERFECTIONISM holds them down and keeps them playing small in their life. Here’s why...

Perfectionism keeps you from feeling true happiness because you are so busy making sure that everything is perfect rather than enjoying whatever it is that you’ve put together

❓How many times did you worry about the perfect wrapping for a present during this holiday season?
❓Or made sure you got EVERYTHING on everyone’s list?
❓Did you sit back and truly enjoy their reaction without feeling anxious it wouldn’t meet their expectations?
❓Or were you so busy with all the shopping, cooking, entertaining, and decorating that it stopped being fun and started to feel like one big chore and you couldn’t bring yourself to ask for help because only YOU could do it the right way?

It’s downright exhausting and an unhealthy way to treat yourself when you live like this, day after day

If you continue this path, you will end up feeling like you lose a little more of yourself with every year that passes

You can break past this and FIND A WAY to live in better harmony and with less self-judgment when you
❌ STOP apologizing
❌ STOP making excuses for who you are
❌ STOP trying to be perfect!

Today, I encourage you to ditch the PERFECTIONISM and do ONE thing that makes you feel a little bit uncomfortable. It doesn’t have to be major, but let it be something

Maybe it’s as simple as asking your kids for help with the groceries, asking your partner to make you a cup of coffee, run an errand

JUST ASK - don’t judge yourself and enjoy just being a little messy, for a moment or two
