1. Hi Michele – It can be challenging to relax and feel calm with so much stimulation, worry, and fear swirling around our lives. Think of all of that as energy, and consciously decide how you want to use your energy. Keep your mind on the present moment by actively focusing on what you want, not what you don’t want. And when you mind drifts off to unresourceful thoughts, call it back to the moment that you are experiencing in present time. Not the past or the future, but in the here and now. Meditation is a great way to calm your body and mind, shift thinking to positive solutions, and to remind us that we have the power to be as we desire. We may not be able to change the outcome; however, we can always control how we feel, act, and respond in any situation. I hope this is helpful to you and thank you for your question.
